what are you doing in my lemmy profile

idk if this image is AI (i cannot tell), but AI image generators are, currently, unethical.
personally i don’t have a problem with the idea of AI image generation, I have a problem with companies taking artists’ images without them opting in to it, then attempting to “replace” artists with an algorithm that’s trained on stolen work. I also have a problem with the technology’s environmental impacts. i think this is a common sentiment.
edit: on further analysis, i’m around 70% sure this is AI-generated, due to the TVs looking the same while having a different art style, and due to the strange facial expression in the 2nd panel. also, in the 2nd panel, it would make more sense artistically for the character to be lying down while thinking that, showing that it can look the same on the outside.
That would make time more unrelated to the sun, which is pretty important.
I don’t understand this comic. White nationalism and penis size are unrelated, as far as I’m aware.
If it looks like free will and quacks like free will, then it probably is free will.
uhh none other than free (in price) google drive on a few gmails, but i dont use it.
i might eventually pay for cloud storage (when i can afford an option that won’t use my data in ways i dont want it to be used) for backups. for now i do backups on my devices with syncthing. it would be wise to have some backup storage in a different location, though.

Some of my moral principles
Treat others how you think they would want to be treated, but not at all costs.
You don’t have to like everyone, and not everyone has to like you. Although, being liked by others generally leads to having a better life.
Avoid lying or “distorting the truth”. But, sometimes lying is necessary, like to keep a friend’s secret.
Some of my existential thoughts
There are no permanent consequences other than death (I do not believe in an afterlife, although I find the concept interesting). There are no rules to follow, just temporary consequences you may have to deal with. You can make up your own rules and follow them, or not follow them.
Perception is just a tool used by your brain (a small part of the universe) to process the chaos that is the universe. A similar universe could be described by a very complex particle simulation. That’s really cool.
Upgrade my eyes so I can sense different wavelengths of light at will. I would also make them very resistant to blindness.
if i were smarter, i’d be able to answer that
With an arduino and a relay, I made a light bulb turn on when I passed my hand by a sensor. That’s like, basically telekinesis

Power off, since my computers boots pretty quickly.
Yeah, I had to go to therapy for that. What works for me is closing my eyes so I don’t get to see the needle or the blood. I still feel a bit weird after but I don’t pass out anymore.
Sudden low blood pressure after seeing my own blood. I went temporarily blind and my hearing was weird for a bit. Thankfully, my father rescued me.
The reason I didn’t faint was because, when I felt my blood pressure dropping, I immediately kneeled to avoid further injury.
That was most certainly the scariest thing I’ve experienced. Somehow, it was scarier than actually fainting.
Lying
i get this because i watched the anime
Uhh, I live in the southern hemisphere and I mostly ate popsicles (not all the time, they are very sugary) and kept my ceiling fan on. I would also recommend colder and more frequent showers and drinking cold water.
Also, I guess you could try getting a fan and putting a bag of ice behind it, I do not know if that would work but someone I know did that during summer.
On an unrelated note, I probably won’t need to do absolutely anything for winter here since it doesn’t get very cold.
It doesn’t take hours to draw a meme image. Spending a few minutes using a meme template or drawing a quick meme will most certainly not use more energy than AI.
Sounds like a philosophy problem to me. In my opinion, the use of something created unethically being unethical is a truth that we must accept, even if it’s hard to do so.
No, we just think differently.
If nobody used AI image generation, these companies would not even exist, it would be the ultimate blow. So, logically, more people using their AI helps these companies long-term.
