I think some people just don’t realize it’s rude to have a speaker phone call in a public setting. I once had a complete stranger at a restaurant ask my friends and me to be quiet because the person on the other end of the phone kept hearing us.
I’m one of those people … I always thought, if it’s reasonable to have a conversation with someone physically there, at a reasonable talking volume, why does it matter if I’m doing the same on my phone?
Obviously if it’s obnoxiously loud that’s a different story

The sounds coming out of your phone are distorted by the speaker and the connection, and distortion can be painful to listen to
