I love Arch, but it is not for beginners. WiFi and Bluetooth are both sketchy. Or, at least, they used to be.

If they aren’t worried about dirt, I doubt that they’re gonna be worried about spit or piss.
Fact-checking is one thing, but they didn’t even spell-check.
Thanks to your comment, I found out that PCSX2 uses CHDs. I thought that was a format that only MAME used.
In the case of archive.org, why not just download directly from the website? I’ve never seen a need to use their torrents.
Yeah, whenever I had a job that required a Mac, they had the decency to loan me one. If my job required me to buy one, I’d be looking for another job. I hate Macs.
It’s because they know how to use rm -rf, and they don’t know how to use rmdir. Honestly, I can’t think of a single time I’ve ever successfully removed a directory with rmdir. I always wind up using something else.
Just give rm the entire path or a relative path like ./~
Whoopsie daisy-cutter.
I’m seeing Belize and Haiti! Okay, what’s the surprising correlation?
It really all depends upon what you’re doing. Some people don’t like to leave the terminal, and editors like nano or micro aren’t powerful enough for them. If all you’re doing is working with configs or something like that, micro or nano is just as good as vim.
Learning vim has been fun for me, which is why it always seems weird to me when people say stuff like “why should I have to learn, etc.” It’s like there’s no point in doing something unless it puts money into your wallet?
Learning new things makes you a better person. It’s good for your brain.
It’s like asking why you should make the effort to bake cookies or learn origami.
You can just say “Christian”, you know.
Douglas Crockford has a whole chapter of these in his latest book. There’s also this classic video.
I think it’s kind of hard to describe if you can’t do it. I don’t literally see the cup; I’m imagining that I can see the cup. Can you imagine other senses? For example, can you imagine how chocolate tastes, or what it sounds like when somebody’s knocking on a door?
This is actually the case. It’s called aphantasia. Most people can think of a cup and an image of a cup will appear in their mind. People with aphantasia can’t do that.
Ratchet theory: Republicans push things to the right, Democrats prevent movement to the left.
