Yeah I’m a huge believer in federated systems but I believe that a lot of ‘normies’ going to bluesky is a huge step in the right direction. Even though most don’t know anything about the tech behind it and migrate because twitter has become a bot infested right wing hell scape, they still are one step closer to being fully integrated to the fediverse.

I had tried to self host an instance, but for some reason couldn’t get it to work. I was really new to self hosting at that point though, and should probably give it another go, it seems too useful to ignore completely.

Yeah, I used to really like Andrew’s work, but haven’t really watched anything since the allegations all came out and he went completely quiet for a few months after. At the moment I just picked up thronefall, and really enjoy it. It’s great if you like tower defense and city building games, but don’t have too much time on your hands to get invested into longer games. The progression system feels good and adds a lot of replayability. It runs perfectly on Linux as well right out of the box!

I second OpenTTD, it takes a bit to figure it out, but it’s so much fun when you really get the hang of it
