Antibiotics are allowed and, unfortunately, used plenty in the EU. Growth hormones on the other hand are banned. As far as I know, those are standard in the US, so farmers can’t simply export surplus production.

It is not as complicated as it looks! As a long time windows user I’m in the process of getting used to the command line and I love the simplicity and direct way of doing things. For some tasks and small programs it is amazing. Grep for example is something amazing that you couldn’t do in a windows type UI.

For other stuff like visualizing a directory tree you can always use a mouse interface. You’re rarely forced to use the terminal.

Die grünen sind ein Haufen Boomer Hippies, die ihr Banner mit “Atomkraft nein danke” hochhalten und sich dadurch für ein Geschenk für die Welt halten. Scheiß auf Ansätze, die wirklich etwas verändern könnten aber nicht in deren beschränktes Weltbild passen. Greenwashing statt Fortschritt.

The compression was already explained - I would add that if you’re not deep into scene groups, popular repackers are in general a safe choice, i.e. no malware included. Of course it’s never 100% safe, but in my opinion safer than picking from a list of torrents what could be the scene release.
