Because as far as I know, they only finished the immediate project that I was working on and didn’t continue doing any of the next things on the roadmap that were sorely needed. A fintech company that somehow assigned zero importance to their payments system.
I did this recently. They “replaced” me with two engineers after I had been begging for meaningful help for months.

US police (including border agents) are stealing things from citizens. It doesn’t matter if you have bank statements or receipts if you are dealing with someone who will just steal your shit and claim legal immunity.
Tomatoes. I disliked them for a long time but a few years ago I tried them again. I don’t remember how I made that decision - it may have been from forgetting to ask for no tomatoes on a burger but I ended up trying them more and came to like them. I don’t like all tomatoes and not in everything, but I do enjoy them in sandwiches, burgers, and a few other things.
We have both MySQL and PostgreSQL in our production environment. Postgres is way nicer as a user of the DB. I created a document months ago outlining a dozen different things that Postgres does that MySQL either doesn’t do or does worse. I can’t speak to managing the DB as I don’t have experience with that.

I’m skeptical that anything legal will work for very long because they will quickly work to make said legal action illegal.
No one has asked the important question: what do you need the laptop to do on this camping trip? The answer to that will drastically change the answer to your question
Progressing languages aren’t about computers. They’re about humans.
I have been running Linux full time on my gaming PC for a number of months now. I have found only a few instances where a game hasn’t worked. I know that certain games won’t work because of their invasive or Windows specific DRM, but for me personally I don’t want to play those games anyway. Some examples of games I can play without issue: Horizon: Forbidden West, Brotato, Plate Up, GTFO, Dome Keeper, Noita, Enlisted, Power Wash Simulator, Risk of Rain 2 …
Colorado enshrined the right to abortion and removed anti-gay marriage language from their constitution.
Hello fellow Stumpt fan! Huge plus one to Stumpt
Probably not super unique but a glass breaker/seatbelt cutter. If I’m in an accident or I come upon one, I want that ability with me.
For things like playing video games, I don’t. I’m okay with switching between games several times in an evening. However, when I’m looking at something to buy I try to recognize when I’m hyper focusing on the thing vs having a long term need/desire for. On those things I try to delay purchasing for a while to let the hyper focusing subside.
So for me it’s not really a case of limiting or restricting, but just delaying. I did this recently with a tool for my workshop. I waited long enough to let the hyper focusing subside but also long enough to stumble on an amazing deal on a really nice version.
Yea, what about your liver? Have you asked how it feels today?
When my cat is hungry and I’m at my computer, she will put her front paws up on my chair and then gently tap my leg to ask “food plz”. She increases in frequency over time.
Save money into a retirement fund. Be consistent about contributing to it. Compound interest is very much your friend at this age
My favorite version of the chess one is from the Simpsons when the teachers at the school go on strike. Bart now has a ton of time on his hands and ends up playing chess against 3 people at the same time in the park. A bystander comments on how smart he must be right before all 3 opponents checkmate him. https://youtu.be/zLcAu1VuP0w
