I joined Lemmy when the API changes happened and tried to get a couple nerdy friends to join but they didn’t bite

My coworker is using one of these sites and is uploading to YouTube. He says there’s a lot of curating he’s doing and listens to 14 hours of AI music a day to find the actual usable songs.

The songs he’s shared are okay, I wouldn’t have gathered they’re AI besides that they’re generic.

The thing I wonder is if people would accept this music knowing that it was generated.

Having a fulfilling weekend helps. The weekends where I sit and rot are where I get to Sunday night and feel like “oh shit I don’t want to go to work I didn’t enjoy my weekend”.

But weekends where I’ve worked on projects, hung out with family and friends, gamed, maybe done some chores or just got out the house help lessen the blow. It also helps that I don’t really sleep in much these days, like I’ll usually get up at 9:30 or 10 and those couple hours instead of getting up at noon help make the day feel more worthwhile.

Doing all that usually has me tired enough going to sleep rather than doom scrolling or brain rotting. Which in turn leads to a gentler time waking up Monday.

And then on Monday itself I kinda ride the high of having a good weekend and that I can push through 8 hours to get back home and continue some of those activities

I haven’t taken an econ class in 8-9 years but I remember it saying there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Someone has to pay for it. And when you frame things in that light, then yes I could see how an econ teacher would call that stealing.

But econ is a weird science, it’s explaining human behaviors and people are weird.

For the few cases I watch live TV over the antenna, I will either lower the volume or leave it be. Muting to silence is usually too jarring but the same could be said about the ad itself

I keep ear plugs in my zip pouch wallet so I’m always ready for any concerts or random loud areas.
