Also, I’m gonna say it, I’d love to vote for a gay man. I’d love to see the GOP desperately try to bite their tongue knowing that the overwhelming majority of Americans wouldn’t support them saying “don’t vote for the f*****” which we all know they’d want to say so damn hard. You know they’d end up slipping up and showing their true colors which could help turn people away.
Was a computer repair tech until a few months ago. About 6 months ago this older guy brought in his laptop because he had been hacked and they had changed his password. Was able to change the password to something new using some fancy tools but upon getting in all his files were still missing. Turns out OneDrive was on and ALL of his important files were only on OneDrive and not the computer. Well, Microsoft had changed his password when the hackers changed his computer password so he was locked out and Microsoft didn’t believe he owned the account anymore since he didn’t know the password. After weeks of calls he just gave up trying to get his stuff back.
Fuck OneDrive.

Police are responsible for police culture so pointing to culture doesn’t absolve them or change any of the math here. Same with the laws, they may not directly make them or have a say in them (unless you count police unions), but they can choose when to enforce them, when to not, and against whom. Again, your arguments aren’t changing any of the math here.
The problems of police are caused by the police and sustained by the police so they are entirely the fault of the police. Your comment seemed to imply that at least some of the blame should be taken from the police since it’s not them it’s the culture and the laws. I’m saying, it’s still all them. The culture and the laws are still on them.
Are the officers not part of that culture? Do they have no discretion in what laws they enforce and when?

The meme is about a controversial topic which has lead to numerous debates lately where “both sides” are extremely sexist to the other. I made an statement, it wasn’t subject of debate (unlike the meme).

Do you know what debates are? What they are for? How they operate? A debate is always two opposing ideas, they are literally designed to divide and revolve around conflict. If you only like debates that unite and cause harmony then you don’t actually like debates, you like discussions.

A) Yes it’s a debate about sexism and rape culture, of course it’s going to involve sexism.
B) Everything is politics. People who complain about things “getting too political” just don’t like the politics on display.
We are literally in a meme community revolving around an allegory for the Vietnam war where the good guys are analogous to the Vietcong. If you think Star Wars is not a place for politics then you don’t understand Star Wars.

For every reason you have to dislike Biden, you have an even larger reason to fear Trump. Want to support LGBTQ folks? Surely Trump will be better for them right? Want to support women’s rights? Surely the guy who put three anti-abortion judges on the court will give us abortion back, right? Want to support Palestine? Surely Trump will put BB in his place and stop the genocide, right? Are you really willing to risk that for those groups just so you can feel superior? Just so you can hope to get a shit party to the 5% threshold and have them still fall on their face the next election?
If you feel comfortable enough voting third party or not voting it’s because you have the privilege to be mildly inconvenienced for 4 years and be ok, unlike the groups you claim to be supporting with your protest vote.
There are only two parties that have a mathematical chance of winning. You can throw your vote away on a third party, hoping to get them 20x their highest ever turn-out in the hopes that they get more money if you want. But know that what you are actually doing is indistinguishable from simply not voting. Work on getting ranked-choice voting in your state first, then vote your conscience. Voting third party now just guarantees another 4+ years of Trump.

I’d pick the one that polls the highest against Trump whether I like them or not. That was the only reason I was supporting Biden in the past. If I could go back in time and do a real primary and pick someone based on who would run the country the best it could be a million people (Bernie, AOC, Buttigieg, etc), but the thing that matters to me most is who stands the best chance against Trump. A milquetoast do-nothing dem is a mile ahead of Trump 2.0 + P2025.
