Linux Mint is not harder for Grandma than windows 10 was. Granny just is used to use windows. Same with children. With less tech people when talking about Linux or choices, I just talk and choose Mint. If they evolve, they will know better. (btw, This is exactly the path that old-schoolers take to become Mint users .)

After GoogleOne messed up the dates on 120,000 of my photos, I store them both on pCloud (EU) and locally (EU). I use digiKam but more importantly I’m working on creating a sustainable process for my photography workflow now.

The claim of 15-20 kilometers per day would represent an extraordinarily fast advance rate that doesn’t match current battlefield realities. The actual advances are measured in hundreds of meters per day or small numbers of square kilometers per month, not kilometers per day.
