Ok that’s really cool. It looks like it’s really new? Like 3 months old?

It seems you are correct. I had misunderstood how coax connections worked, I hadn’t expected them to be capable of carrying that much data over a single cable.
I’m pretty sure no modern coax connection shares the cable between households. That’s a very archaic method.
If you’re working on a large project/product then sure, but VS Code is just so damn good, it’s so much fucking faster than IntelliJ, has so many more options and is typically just more intuitive to me. Whenever I can I typically use it.
My phone is nearing end of support next year and I’ve been considering the Fairphone for a while now. I really wanna like it but I’ve seen a lot of people having issues with their software. Hopefully they’ll get better at it, well see.
I mean, its literally the same thing as using a Master Card or Visa card, they’re both US firms. And I find it extremely convenient not to have to pull out my wallet and rummage through it each time to find my card and then sometimes be forced to type in my pin, and then have to put the card back in and my wallet back into my pocket. I just have to tap my phone, which is always on me (would be even more convenient if I had a watch that supported it as well but I don’t), and sometimes have to rescan my fingerprint to confirm.
I just recently switched from gmail to Mailfence with a custom domain, and I’m pretty happy thus far. I looked into it for a while trying to find the best option, and Mailfence turned out the best for me. Tuta was too locked down for me and Mailbox just rubbed me the wrong way. Mailbox has had a known major security issue with custom domains for literally 7 years now and still has yet to addressed it, their webmail is extremely slow and buggy (would switch to German randomly), they don’t encrypt messages at rest (which to be fair isn’t too important, but a lot of other services still do it), and I’ve seen multiple reports of their support being sub-par. I feel like they’re probably still fine, but I just feel more confident in Mailfence.
The way generative AI works means no matter how good the data it’s still gonna bullshit and lie, it won’t “know” if it knows something or not. It’s a chaotic process, no ML algorithm has ever produced 100% correct results.
Possible, but I wouldn’t really see this as evidence of that in particular. Israel has been conducting subversive actions against Hamas and the Houthis for a long time and something like that pager attack was likely being planned far ahead.
My thoughts are the same, as long as it’s not so bad you can’t not notice it, I think it’s fine.
It’s not a theory, they published the formula, that’s just straight up what it is.
Definitely 5, so much better than 99% of other pens.
From my understanding, there are apparently newer studies that seem to indicate that it isn’t good for kids, but it’s not extremely bad either, just not good. However, more research is needed and people want to stop fluoridating water just to be safe (realistically you’re probably getting more than enough for your teeth from toothpaste)
Isn’t it the opposite? I’ve never seen a footnote with the number/star at the end of the footnote.
Got my first today
“How to confront a cheating husband”
That actually makes sense as a way to die, I just need to become gay now.
Personaly those shortcuts are a feature I literally never use so much so I don’t even register their existence anymore.
My personal experience has been frustrating each time. I’ve tried to switch over at least 3 times over the years, but I always gave up. This time, I installed Ubuntu and immediately had to spend 3 hours trying to get my Xbox controler dongle to work, but just couldn’t do it. Found a driver online that people said would work, it didn’t because it wasn’t properly signed, tried to sign it but the signing app just didn’t create the certificates needed. Gave up, I have Bluetooth so I’d live, though I’d rather use the dongle if I can.
I then immediately encounter another problem that couldn’t be fixed (for the life of me I can’t remember what it was exactly) and just gave up.
The previous time I tried it I remember that among other things, one of my main problems was the lack of clipboard history (which I use extremely often). I tried installing an app for it but all of them either didn’t work or didn’t work the way I want them to or I just didn’t like their look and feel.
I also hate the font rendering on Linux, it always looks blurry compared to Windows, and the double titlebars most apps have (e.g. Discord, at least on Ubuntu), I like my screen real-estate.
I think it’s actually Bing or Google, used to be just Bing. But the searches are anonymised and not tied to user profiles (as well as the ads), so I like it more since I’m at least not giving Google all of my data.
Why is the video so dark? I thought my phone’s brightness settings were off.
