As an autist, I find this assertion nonsensical and offensively reductive.
Sometimes, it’s because they’ve lost the source code. Perfect example is Panzer Dragoon Saga. SEGA would love to remaster it, but the original source is gone, and it’s apparently too financially risky to invest in rewriting from scratch.

Popcorn, specifically. I used to go to our local theater for the popcorn. They have a ticket plus large popcorn and drink for $9, it’s a great deal. Then I figured out how to make my own popcorn that tastes just like the theater stuff with ghee and fine salt, so now I’m more inclined to just stay home and make my own.
Still gotta do the drive-in at least once a year, though.

If you like Privateer, check out Double Damage Games “Rebel Galaxy: Outlaw”. Excellent game with a lot of sadly lost potential due to the dev being run out of game development by hostile and entitled “gamers”.

My bad. I misread your statement entirely as applying to conservatives and missed the whole “coalition of progressives and” part. I guess my own reactive bullshit was engaged ahead of my critical thinking there. Your points are valid and I was apparently just looking for an argument there.
And by “keep the rights that they have” they mean virtually unrestricted access to firearms and the right to discriminate against anyone they want protected by a thing guise of “religious freedom” that also magically protects them from discrimination of any kind.
