“steadily” as in… they complete one every couple of years? How long until they’re done? 10-20-30 years? They started this in 2014 and 11 years later they’ve accomplished next to nothing beyond creating a pile of bodies.

The only reason why the MBAs and Execs have jobs are because the shareholders want more money.

Customers don’t decide company leadership unless it interferes with shareholder or exec goals.

The system of ownership determining everything for everyone is the problem but good luck getting those in power to give up that ownership complex.

I interviewed once for an IT manager role at MIT’s Whitehead Institute and I shit you not the hiring manager actually said the documentation for absolutely everything in their environment was perfect, and that everyone on the team documented things very well.

Almost everybody who works there in IT has decades of seniority. I’ve never met a lifer who was great at documentation, let alone an entire team. Pretty sure the guy was just fulfilling some quota of external interviews so they could promote whatever guy was to get the role internally.

They encourage whatever gets them more money.

In 2017 they hadn’t saturated market share and were still trying for conversions from people who weren’t using their product.
