  • Normally you don’t include yourself when asking questions of people who are actually knowledgeable. I was making fun of you saying ‘we’ and following up by directly saying you aren’t part of ‘we’.

My point stands. You could make any Linux kernel that you wanted to. Your question isn’t ‘why haven’t we done something’ but ‘why hasn’t somebody done something for me that I probably don’t even really want?’

Switched last year. If you’d rather write a page of text whining instead of leaning how to use Google, let alone anything harder… Just use Windows. Nobody cares, especially in this tiny community. You’ve already nailed the problem and nobody wants to interest the time trying to make you barely competent at life, let alone be some stupid free Linux coach.

You could solve any of these problems in like 30 seconds of googling it. But here you are instead.

  • Just play the ‘How’ game.

    I’ll bite.

Basically, ask them, as earnestly as possible, HOW do you focus?

I make coffee and then I remove distractions. Then I spend about 30 minutes forcing myself to do whatever task until it no longer is forced. I have specifically associated my office with focus and concentration on tasks. I do not look at social media or play YouTube or anything else in that room ever.

They will quickly be left stuttering with a “you just do it” type response. See how long you can keep it going.

I’m excited to see how you do this. Go ahead and demonstrate.

They just told you they have the secret to fix your life, but now won’t share it. WHY won’t they share?!?

Well I just shared. That method let me get off of Vyvanse. People have always had ADHD and they have figured out how to live with it forever. But sure, go ahead and pretend like your life is somehow ruined.

  • Diamonds have never been rare in modern times. They are controlled by cartels and kept in massive warehouses to keep the supply low artificially. Not rare enough to justify the absurd costs anyway.

De Beers maintained a monopolistic hold over the diamond market for several decades, controlling 75-85% of the diamond rough supply. They carefully released only enough rough diamonds to satisfy then-current demand, while continually adjusting the degree of rough diamond availability. Of course, this made prices escalate and reinforced the perception of diamond’s rarity. De Beers actually mined considerably more rough diamonds than they sold. They maintained a large warehouse of uncut diamonds in London. As a result, they weren’t allowed to do business in the United States and a few other countries.
