For me it was The Amytiville Horror (1979). I still can’t look out of a window at night and not think of seeing eyes. I didn’t see the film until I was about 11, so mid 80s.

When I got my first tattoo 30 years ago, my then mother-in-law said I’d be in prison soon enough. So far I’ve managed to be a good citizen (it seems following the law is easy), but I’ve got a plan for this to prove her right. When I’m about to go bye bye , I’m going to strip naked and run around on live TV, probably at a sporting event. That will at least get me arrested, and if I resist arrest and generally be annoying, I’m might go to prison to let the state pay for all the medical things associated with my demise. These tattoos are a bad influence. Hell awaits.

This. Your faith is presented as normal when growing up in religious family. As you get older, there is opportunity to question those beliefs and, for some people, you realise those beliefs are mental and insane.

There was definitely resistance from the young guy. It just didn’t make my story. The police in the country where I’m from have a much higher standard of engagement with people. Their actions we well justified.

At a concert and saw the police approach and start questioning a young drunk guy (out doors, before show started). They basically said he had to leave on account of being too intoxicated and he started getting mouthy. I’ve never seen the police react so quickly the moment he finished saying, “My dad is a top class expensive lawyers and he’ll have your asrses for this” - he was in the ground and handcuffed within seconds. In the next few seconds he was back on his feet and being escorted to the paddy wagon.

Worrying that every unexpected pain in your body will be cancer.

I went on a little thought journey about this, partly because I’ll never have my own biological kids (snip snip). Ironically, I have a family tree that is traced back to the 1500s. My branch will just stop. I’m OK with that - this is my choice. There will be a lot of branches that just stop because of unfortunate deaths. The difference is whether it’s by choice or not, maybe?(?) Is this a bad thing anyway?

After a particular sports event a number of years ago, it was noted that reports of spousal abuse increased significantly that night. This is very sad.

I’m 50 and get posts from OnlyFans accounts and advertising for kegels exercises, mixed in with woodworking videos. I blame all the other men out there. No wonder I don’t use social media much anymore. I just want to see my friend’s and family’s pics/vids.
