Anti-Villains are somewhat the opposite of Anti-Heroes. While the Anti-Hero often fights on the side of good, but with questionable or selfish motives and methods; the Anti-Villain plays a villain’s game, but for a noble cause, or with respectable qualities, in a way that the audience or other characters can sympathize with. They may be more noble or heroic than an Anti-Hero, but the means to achieve their ends are often considered exploitative, immoral, unjust, or just evil.

So characters like Magneto or Poison Ivy
It’s especially fun if your name is similar to a comic character that you don’t care for
Source: have a name that’s similar to an anti-villain
Edit: y’all are cracking me up!

Right, I kind of expected that prominence to encourage carrying enough security to protect him. I think he skewed that a bit and thought he was untouchable because of his prominence.
The other two are just as insane, but think they have Trump’s ear despite not commanding anything near Kirk’s audience

He’s famous for creating a conservative organization while in college, called Turning Point USA. The org puts out a lot of smug memes to appeal to young conservative folks, so naturally people made fun of them and counter-memed.
He’s said a lot of very vile things, like “Black women don’t have the same kind of brain processing power” (paraphrased) when talking about how bad DEI is.
My BFF hadn’t heard of him either, but they curate their feeds to be mostly uplifting fluff, and they aren’t terminally online like I am lol. I was kind of surprised that he was the influencer that got shot though, I might have expected someone like Loomer or Fuentes

I’m not here to downplay those problems in China. They are serious. But, that’s not the government saying they don’t care about children, it’s saying that they have their own racist and bigoted political problems.
And, if you’ve paid any attention, the US is doing really similar things and has been for a long time. We made some progress with the Civil rights movement, but we still have Black people arrested at 2x the rate of white, 37% of the prison pop is Black while they only represent 13% of the general pop. The education system has all but erased the cultural roots of Black Americans, and God forbid a Black teen uses slang to communicate. Most of the sectioning off of voting areas in the US is to minimize their and other minority’s voting power. For now it’s still legal to say “Hey this influencer really made life bad for me, and I’m okay with him being dead”, but it may not remain legal for long. EPA regulations are being dissolved, but the biggest problems will affect traditionally/forced Black neighborhoods.

Where are you getting the idea that the government in China doesn’t care about their children?

Hey man, you’re the one that brought up rules. But while we’re talking about international rules, gene editing of embryos and their descendants is legal in the US if it’s privately funded. And it’s not illegal internationally to do so
Also, I’d be less worried about CRISPR specifically for this use, because it’s not always accurate, is limited in what it can actually do, and there are better gene editing tools now

But our side has rules, you assume they play by the rules.
China academia has the same problem that US academia has: publish or perish.
And seriously, you can’t say something like that and ignore all the BS the US government has been pulling internationally for decades. Trump murdered 14 random people on boats that weren’t even in US territory, and seemingly no one on the international stage gives a shit

I changed my name a few years ago and totally missed out on meme potential 😭
Heck, that is the cutest way to think of it
My best friend and I live on opposite sides of the US. We’ve been sending the same bubble wrap pieces back and forth to protect birthday and Xmas gifts for like a decade now lol
Edit I genuinely do not understand why floo called me a Nazi. Or why they told me to kill myself.

The best hugging pillow I ever had was a ridiculously large plushie, because the fill density was different. I haven’t figured out the head pillow yet, because sometimes as a side sleeper I try to hug those, too. I’ve mostly landed on ignoring the shaped memory foam pillows, because even if it says “for side sleepers” it usually feels better using as a traditional sleeper

I’m not a cis man, but every man I’ve dated has had “friends”, but not people they can really talk to. Like, one guy I dated had a really big social circle and they regularly had gaming events. But he didn’t text or talk to anyone outside of planning and going to those events. Others had maybe one friend that they hung out with outside of work.
It is sad. And it was jarring when I was young, because I had lots of friends I could turn to on a bad day or for something more serious. It makes me so angry with “the patriarchy”, because it isn’t just keeping women down, it’s also hurting and sometimes killing men.
I had a cat die a very painful and sad death right in the veterinarian’s parking lot. I was completely devastated, but my poor boyfriend kept trying to hold back his tears because he “needed to be strong” for me. Bitch no, cry with me, that was super heavy. I’m going to carry that death with me until I die, and not just because my cat didn’t deserve that. It’s not fair for men to have this expectation that they need to hold back expressing emotion so they appear strong. (that particular ex also has a fear of dying, so he really needed to and should have felt free to express himself at that time)

The sheer number of men who suddenly have no support in their life because their relationship has ended, that soon struggle with suicidal thoughts should really point to the first thing you said. Men and women are socialized differently as children and this is one of the most common results when we reach adulthood. It will take an enormous shift in society and ingrained values to fix that
That second point, yeah, women don’t need to get married to survive now. My grandmother couldn’t have her own bank account when she was a young adult, and banks would have laughed her out of town if she wanted a mortgage. My parents got married young because that was still kind of expected, especially in rural America. I haven’t dated in years, because it’s frustrating, and I have been able to, and lucky enough, to buy a home on my own finances. That’s not high standards, it’s just that I didn’t need to get hitched to have financial stability

I met two people with my dead name and a third who used the nickname I used to (think Christina/Tina) all in the same job. I thought it would be weird, but I realized that I never identified with those names, I just used them because it was expected.
I imagine it’s different for other people, but that’s how it has been for me

There are programs for people with felonies to find jobs, typically found under “re-entry” or “second chance”. They’re often sucky, poorly paid jobs though.
I went back and forth between something I typically listen to everyday like Spiritbox, and something I love but don’t listen to all the time like Blank Banshee.
Blank Banshee won, Frozen Flame
This is maybe an odd choice, but I’d make Cher listen to it. She was the first major artist to use autotune (in my memory at least). So maybe she’d be more open to the heavily technology-dependent parts of vaportrap too
