I was looking for this comment! I swear it’s quite useful and not just feeding my self-hosting habit!
I’ve personally gone with an N100 Mini PC running Proxmox and two of these daisy-chained (purchased on sale). https://www.amazon.com/MAIWO-Enclosure-Cooling-Storage-Expansion/dp/B0D28Q187R/
The MAIWO DAS uses garbage JMicron firmware by default, and there are significant issues with their sleep functions. Because of that, it took me forever to figure out why SnapRAID kept failing mid-sync. Fortunately, new firmware seems to have fixed their issues and they’ve been rock solid ever since. I specifically had to update the firmware for all 4 of the USB controllers on each DAS.
Direct link to firmware that worked for me. https://gbatemp.net/attachments/bin-16028_jms578_std_v00-04-01-04_self_power_odd_20190611-zip.230929/

I’m sure in a future thread we’ll get a comment saying something like:
“No one on Lemmy is saying we should murder billionaires”
For what it’s worth, this is the only article I can find that says it was for burning “plantations.”
From NBC News
The official said that while the weapon was not sanctioned by military leadership, the troops were fulfilling a legitimate military task of burning away thick shrubbery along the border where Hezbollah fighters sometimes hide.
Or, if you prefer an outlet with a different perspective…
From Middle East Eye
Israeli media suggested that launching projectiles into Lebanon was aimed at exposing Hezbollah fighters using the dense foliage as cover in the area. It could also be in preparation for a ground invasion.
Would Proton Bridge fit your needs?
It has a PWA option, which is pretty cool too!
I have a dual-hose portable AC, because my landlord sucks and won’t install something sensible like a mini-split. My biggest complaint is that the only mode that sucks in outside air relies running the inefficient and expensive AC. I’m in SoCal, so no cheap electricity for me. If I had the option I’d 100% rather install solar, but as a renter that is definitely not an option.
That said if I was purchasing one, I’d buy the one recommended by TheWirecutter. It uses a dual hose-in-hose design and is more power efficient than most models.
A version of that is on sale in the US from Sam’s Club for $375.
Oh yeah, to be clear not everyone with ADHD responds well to every stimulant, or stimulants in general. It’s even more complicated if you have a co-morbid condition such as bipolar type II. They can make bipolar symptoms worse, and trigger a manic episodes.
They’re being downvoted because their statement is provably false.
…people with ADHD who take these medications as prescribed are lesslikely than their untreated counterparts to drink or abuse drugs.

There’s definitely a glitch in the Matrix.
I’m stuck on Joplin personally, but have you taken a look at Standard Notes? I think it checks all your boxes.
Here are some options I use in my rotation.
Brave Search (skip the browser)
Mojeek
Qwant (French)
Yandex (Russian)
Mullvad Leta (Mullvad VPN subscription required)
MetaGer (German meta search)
Startpage (Private Google results)
DuckDuckGo (Private Bing results)
SearXNG and similar self hosted options are awesome, but I’ve found them unreliable.
Be skeptical of Kagi… It’s promoted pretty heavily around here for something that’s not FOSS.
Not sure why you got downvoted like crazy, but Brave legitimately has a great search engine. It also uses its own crawlers unlike DDG, Startpage or Kagi who are really just meta search engines piggybacking off other companies’ results.
Streaming video is expensive. LTT did it with Floatplane, even going so far as to develop their own backend. Watcher and some other YouTubers did it with Vimeo as their backend, but Vimeo still takes a large cut.
At the end of the day, people are doing this, but YouTube still offers a compelling value compared to other platforms. It’s hard to beat their scale, sophistication, and the discoverability of their platform.
