thank you for the extra info. I’m interested in how you make the script for turning off monitor remotely, it def sound super useful.
this sound like a viable option for me. thank you for your suggestion
i see, that def a good consideration. other people suggest a lot of great options, ill try those first and if in the end it doesnt work, this will be my final solution.
thank you for your explanation, It seems i made a lot of people confused. After a bit of explanation it seems like ‘multiseat’ is the term for what i had in mind.
i’ll check those distros and hopefully i will be able to use linux full time
thank you for your suggestion, i’ll research it further and i wish you luck in your project. i dont mind a bit of a challenge but i’ll need to assess if its worthwhile
thank you for your time explaining what my hurdles will be, Yes I’m not native speaker so i apologize if my question is confusing.
seems like this is the way i have to do, ill research this further and try to go as far as i can and see if i can compromise something if its getting too hard for my skill.
before, i stream my pc at home from my office with steam deck. after a year the inconvenience outweighs the simplicity so i moved my home pc to my office so now im looking for a new build so might as well try to make something i’ve been wondering to do
not exactly replace everything but i can use it to game in my living room and work in my work room. after a discussion at buildapc, the term thats best to describe it is ‘multiseat’
im tired of feeling powerless and started to have some unhinged thought. how hard is it to actually starting to work towards a solution just to realize a group of smarter people than me already have their answer and its involves ineffective pier and airdrops, alongside billions of dollar of arms toward the other side.
lets say tomorrow 99% of the Israeli population supports two state solution. how long does it take to get to palestinian to get the same standard as regular israelis? vs how long all of the palestinians get wiped off the earth.
my job is basically design and manufacture, the dependencies of 3d printers make my job wouldnt exist 10 years ago.
i once read a theory that says (i havent checked the validity of this claim) the time required for dna mutates and evolves to the current complexity on earth predates earth by a long shot so it assumes that at one point after the big bang everywhere on the universe is basically a habitable zone and life can be practically found anywhere. assuming some of the building blocks keep on arriving on optimal condition later on.
i’ve wondered about immortality for a while. it boils down to why would i want to be immortal and for me i just want to see and experience things. it also means that i’ll experience a century living lavishly and surrounded by the perfect people i ever hoped to be with and another century where i’ll be broke, alone and living in 10 sqm apartment. at this point then isnt i’m just a living library of babel of human experiences? then what kind of person i am then? a wise old sage or succumb to become a maniac? how many personalities, morals and ideology would come and pass. and how many of ‘me’ that lived and died? would that person still be me? would that person consciousness be the same as me right now? the more i think about immortality the more i think its just the same as death, just a different kind.
this is why the kiwi industry is unsustainable. the amount of energy to grow kiwi and lemon food livestock is far out weight the kiwi yield it wont be long until the kiwi industry collapses and consequently the kiwis will become jobless. jobless lead to instability, any young kiwi grow in such environment is prone to radicalization, soon you will have kiwi problem. they will start organizing themselves and demand independence. this is where the kiwi war start. #savethekiwis
