Steam provides a quick launch menu, thats a good enough reason for me.
Technical issues are worth resolving, but I want the UI to remain the same as the windows one. Its a pattern that works just fine.

Does seem worse IMO. There is nothing wrong with the windows tray, should just copy that and call it done.

Is it actual server hardware? I’ve seen some very weird things with real servers that take ages to reboot (I was assuming it was self checking or something). Are you sure its hung, and not just very slow to shutdown/reboot?
Is there any serial/monitor output before the hang?
Move over vibe coding, we vibe reviewing now
“It passed CI, LGTM”
Use a good IDE, and readding the imports is pretty easy.
I find commented code to be a bit of a smell on its own, just delete it, and if you really need it again, dig it out of source control.
Breakers can be faulty, so if you have a multimeter, test to be sure. Also, the live wires are right near the front, so cover them with tape and still treat it as if its live and be careful.
On mine (similar model, likely only cosmetically different), the live terminals are 3x screw terminals, and they are right next to the screw terminal to remove the last cover, so very easy to slip onto them.
Edit: I see you fixed it, all good :)
Is it still blowing air and working otherwise?
There is an on-off button under the cover usually, but that only does exactly what the remote on-off button does.
If your feeling game, and are comfortable with live electricity, you can get to the controller board by removing a few screws and taking off the cover. You could check that the motor cable hasn’t come loose, but thats a real long shot. Could have a look for any burnt cables or components.

Be very careful, there is mains live electricity in there, if you aren’t sure, just replace it, the indoor units are relatively cheap.
Okay, good to know. Doxycycline and some antibiotics have sun sensitivity, same reason?
Edit: list of a bunch of medicines with sun sensitivity effects: https://www.fda.gov/drugs/special-features/sun-and-your-medicine
Yeah, I know, I’ve tried many of them :).
Its a a pretty common side effect for lots of meds though, so I didn’t really see the irony. I was wondering if it was more than just a side effect.
Is sun sensitivity just a sideeffect or how the drug intrinsically works?
As have I, but I wouldn’t say its always been no issue. But there have been known performance issues, and filesystem locking issues when dual booting (I know, not OPs concern). I think its worth a warning at least, so OP doesn’t go in blind.
Linux doesn’t do the drive letter thing. Instead, you have to identify the disks by their partition IDs.
When you install your OS, you’ll be able to mount
the disks to wherever you like. If you want, you can create directories in /mnt
, like /mnt/e
, /mnt/f
etc. Then you can mount your disks according to those letters.
The main issue you’ll run into is disk format. NTFS will work, but its poorly supported.
To get a better idea of how it works, try passing a USB disk into the VM you’ve created.
They have no problem with lesbian cords. Patriarcordy strikes again :(
Yeah, further compounding the problem. And if standard carry-on luggage’s dont fit anymore, it’ll force more luggage into the hold, which will also run out of space. Unless there is a new plane built around the standing concept, I just can’t see it ever happening.
Realistically, no. Unless the airline also slashes the ticket prices in half, its just going to make them less popular than regular airline seats.
And even if they did manage to cram 2x more seats, there isnt enough space in the overhead lockers for 2x the luggage, so it just won’t work.
The site itself might be tracking views, so might need it. Dunno how to make the bots not look like datacenter IP addresses though.
If they can be hidden, like in Windows, I dont really mind if every app has one. I’ll hide the ones I dont care about.
The app dock isnt visible by default, so thats a partitial solution, but I’d prefer to be able to access it directly without opening a menu or overview first.
