Did that too. I even installed a hot swap for my drives. Worked like a charm.

First thing I would do is to build a golden chamber, with golden furniture and a golden throne, just as a residence for the dragon xD
Maximilian Schwarzmüller got a very good course on udemy. Just wait a bit for the next and frequent sale. It’s worth it.
Uhh, decadent. I like it!
Rock and stone! It got way easier for me, when I started to just rely on plump helmets. Dwarfs would eat them raw and drink them brewed. That got me over the first winters.
It does. I don’t see the ASCII code anymore. Just dwarf beards in blond and brunette, there is a dog, here a plump helmet.
Joke aside, it really does get better. Usually when I start smoothing rock pathways, things really come together.
Oh yeah, that’s on my wishlist now!
That was a great story. Helped me to reassure myself, that we make our own goals… wow, so meta.
And I just died 5x in a row, during tutorial. Fun is commencing:D
While tool is great, I would say “gear” fits even better, does make sense as well.
I use handbrake CLI with this line
HandBrakeCLI -i /dev/sr0 -o output.mkv --preset="H.265 MKV 2160p60" --all-subtitles --subtitle-burned=none -q 16
To rip directly from the DVD drive. It’s not perfect but pretty good as all in one solution
What happens in that “one episode of the thing”?
Yeah, that would be something great for sure!
Sorry, I meant PDF arranger https://github.com/pdfarranger/pdfarranger
I like to add xournal++ for editing PDF without a functional form field. And as other said already: PDF Ranger and Firefox itself
Additional to the other commentators: there is still a lot of handmade visual effects (painting/masking on each frame by frame) costs would explode. as far as I remember “the Hobbit” was partially made in 60fps. While I loved it, the make-up crew had suddenly problems to hide all the glue on the dwarfs beards and skin looked suddenly realistic instead of “Hollywood”.
Here is some random link about that: https://www.forbes.com/sites/johnarcher/2014/12/16/hate-the-hobbit-in-high-frame-rate-you-just-need-to-see-it-again/
Never recording videos… That is outrageous ;) Interesting train of thought, though. Video is the main data hog on my drives. It’s easy to mess up the compression. At the same time is combines audio, image and time in one easy to consume file. Personally, i would miss it.
Wow, that was a rabbit hole of information, links and ideas. Thanks a lot. I reached a point of what I would call “satisfaction” https://cdn.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documents/selecting-storage-media.pdf was back linked by Nestor and it seems to give me an idea of what I’ll do next. Thanks again 👍
“The strength is in the diversity of the mediums” I like that. Should be part of the book of Zen for Backups. Thank you for your insights.
I use peek for that
