Since LLMs runs on CPUs with a lot of memory, do you agree that my calculator is thinking?
Safe about what? I get movies all the time and they are… movies?
If you download games and executable files, you’re an idiot, but it’s been like this for more than 20 years.
the solution is to look at what successful people do and copy that
If you’re fat it’s your fault. Just look at thin people and do the same, it’s easy.
Spotify early projects may have used the pirated MP3s of the employees so…
No because it wouldn’t be a video anymore. You would need to create your own file format and application to read that thing.
Also why? It seems like a very limited use case and I don’t know any scenario where I would need that. No one encrypts videos except for those (idiots) who distribute movies in the theaters or on Blu-ray.
She hasn’t seen rugby players in the south of France.
The vibe coders and every person using an LLM can’t complain about it. It’s fair game.
Empty readme and no comments in the code. Its useless to anyone who would want to change or fix it. It’s junior’s code and unacceptable in a professional environment.
Don’t forget subscriptions. We were freed by Linux, GCC, and all the open source tools that replaced $1000 proprietary crap. They now have that money again through AI monthly plans.
A lot of people on HackerNews have a $200 monthly subscription to have the privilege to work. It’s crazy.
Please tell me because I have been using Windows at home and at work for more than 30 years and I still believe that most people only need Firefox and LibreOffice.
For the past whole year, yes. Hacker News is now 1/3 technology, 1/3 politics, 1/3 AI. It’s annoying.
Yeah, it’s very easy… as long as it’s working, which it is not, at all.
And in a million years, people will still do everything possible except install Linux. Ubuntu is 20 years old and it was already a decent alternative to Windows back then. People are idiots and we shouldn’t be sorry for them.
GrapheneOS is weird. It’s advertised as “privacy- and security-focused” but in reality it’s a great OS for everyone, it’s like a pure version of Android without being too tied to Apple or Google. You can use the Play Store if you have an account, or Aurora if you don’t want one, and F-Droid is there for the weird stuff.
And what made me switch, it has fucking Android Auto to listen to the music in my car. It’s a bit tied to Google but it’s a huge bonus for me. And for work applications, the Google account is still available but sandboxed.
Is it like the Moscow Kebab, or the Egyptian Sushi?
Promiscuity is a word used by bullshit religious extremists.
I agree with you, but:
invasive, biased, used in courts
All those things that will soon happen whether we like it or not.
Same for using an “almost non-changing” standard, i.e. either ISO or RFC. And write a script to update the data or tables if something wrong changes (like Russia disappearing because it has been invaded by Belgium), you never know what might happen politically.
