I feel like he played his role in Gladiator too well, and I didn’t like him for a while after that because he was such a good bad guy… But I’ve come around and really appreciate what he’s put out since, he’s a great actor.

I think it’s more about who you are sharing it with rather than that you are sharing it.

If I were single, I wouldn’t be calling up a friend or relative to tell them about my day, but it’s nice to share with the wife when the day was particularly difficult/good/fun/etc

It’s not the number that matters, it’s whose kids it is getting killed. If someone were to shoot up a school filled with politicians’ kids you’ll see some change rapidly.
