      Except you already pay taxes this is just to bleed the poor dry faster, qnd drip barely anything towards the debt so they can claim the finances are fine, to keep the real government happy, investors.

    I’m pretty sure they’re already getting 30% from my gross. Plus I somehow owe them an additional few grand every year.

      Speaking of, anyone else find it funny (read blatantly obvious) that you cant choose a tax amount this year on your W4? Used to be able to select withholding amount, now its just “We’ll figure it out for you”. I bet they were afraid of everyone marking 0 this year.

    For those who didn’t read the article:

    The donation program has existed since 1996, with a total of $67.3 million contributed — an amount that remains negligible compared to the federal debt.

    The only new thing is more convenient donation methods.
