As others have said, exhaustion mostly.

Get up early, exercise, and kill some folks until you’re tired. Sleep like a baby.

I mean, they “were” exercising a lot. I’ve found that usually helps.
Oh yes, exercising. A lot of exercise with your almost naked best friends. Wrestling, sweating, and then to relax a good game of “guess whose abs are those, without looking”. That’s exhausting, for sure.
I meant all the marching and fighting but, yeah. It takes a Spartan to know what a Spartan likes.

And fresh air helps sooo much
Hard manual labor, especially marching with heavy equipment and military training, just knocks you out like nothing else.
Try marching all day with 100 lbs of armor and gear. You will sleep like a baby.
Done it and slept on tarmac, gravel… god I miss those days lol
You probably miss the guys, not the hardships… Or?
