Honesty, I am tired of accidentally hitting “back” on my phone and having my feed reset, so I was wondering if any of your clients didn’t do that, while also wanting to check out the competition for Sync.

No love for Summit here? I’ve tried almost every android app and ended up with this one. Very smooth UI and full of features.

I swapped from Sync to Summit and have been loving it. The dev’s super responsive too, which is a big plus.

It’s not smooth at all, IMO. Lots of visual annoyances which makes it feel stuttery and just bad. Been a Sync user for years and going from that to any other app is just a bad experience… I try all lemmy apps I come across and they either just look bad, no matter how much I change settings or they lack several major things that I just won’t be without. None has come close to feeling like a replacement yet, and it really sucks that it seems Sync is actually dead now.

+1 for Voyager. It’s my first and so far only client that I’ve used, having been on infinity for reddit before switching.

I like it. it’s smooth, works well, and has fairly granular settings for how to handle “read” posts, gesture controls within posts / comments, and so on.

    Connect.

I actually want the opposite of what you want. I am used to Jerboa and Liftoff refreshing the front page if you hit back on the main feed. Connect just asks it you want to close it and I have to manually scroll back up to the top to refresh, and its annoying af when I’m hella far down the page.

Scroll down slightly in the feed, hit the ellipses that appears on top and choose refresh? This is how I do it with Connect.

You know what’s nice, we have sooooo many more options than we deserve. Thanks all you devs!

Reddit has one official one that kinda sucks.

I’ve used Jerboa for years now, and have the press back twice to exit setting enabled:

My configuration for it is very minimal, to mimic RedReader that I used to use.
