The main r/conservative response became: If Trump was in the files, or of they existed the Dems would have released them. They also said Trump’s popularity went UP two points during the recent Epstein events.
Not if:
- The files were not yet available for the government to peruse freely.
- Important Democrats are also in the files.
- People who donate money or in other ways are in cohorts with the democrats are in the files.
Oh yeah, you should go try and reason it out with them. Be my guest.

I keep hearing about these epstein files not being released, but weren’t they a year or two ago? I remember being able to look up names in an epstein list and making jokes with coworkers about the names in it. That happened. Was that not the epstein files? What am I not understanding?
Thanks to the Conservative media ecosystem, “The Epstein Files” became a shorthand term for, “List of people with ties to Epstein who are provably, definitely pedophiles, who should be arrested, tried and convicted immediately.”
While a great deal of information surrounding Epstein’s crimes have been released, there has yet to be a “smoking gun” definitively proving any specific person associated with him had sex with underage victims (except for Maxwell, who’s in jail right now). MAGAs are mad that they haven’t been give a list of elite pedos who belong in jail.
But I mean, c’mon – list or no, Trump is clearly a pedophile.
