Which areas would you like to see developed first. I think encryption for profiles would be a good idea.

    Linkedin is basically just another microblogging site, really. If everything was federated it probably won’t be needed.

    Why is profile encryption a first priority? The goal of people on LinkedIn is to be visible. Not that encryption is bad, but its not the most important thing. Consider the goals of such a tool and choose priorities that fulfill that goal. Which would be hosting a resume and discovering+connecting with other people in one’s industry.

      The goal is to have visibility be granular to the end user to retain privacy from suspicious individuals and groups.

    It should prioritise on the profile of the user and then the connections between users, which is essentially federation.

    Normally you should be hosting your own profile and setting up hosting should be really easy.

    I think front end of some sorts first, i think it would be easier to plan it from there first

          Selectively public. Resumes can include real names, addresses, phone numbers, projects you are in charge or involved in, current employers and position. In other words a treasure trove for social engineering.
