They used to be. Even subreddit bans were temporary, something like a month, but then something changed and by now pretty much all bans are permament. My last ban was also permament from /r/gaming for a comment that said “seeing 100 DLCs inspires piracy” (this was reference to massive list of Sims3 DLCs).
Sims 4 has a cartoonishly large amount of DLCs, it’s like over a thousand dollars for the complete experience now
